Methods Proven to Improve Website Content Pages

Your internet business website has to be able to connect with your site users as powerfully as possible. The use of search marketing doesn't really factor in here. If you do, though, this becomes more important than ever. A huge disadvantage for all business sites is people can very easily find a new site to visit. If your content pages are not user friendly, then you have usability issues. That's really one of the most prevalent issues on most sites. Here are just a few tips and tricks that are effective in improving a website's performance.

Have you ever figured out that pretty much all of the different web pages out there have sharing icons at the top of their content? They've been put in place all over the web and you typically have to scroll up so that you can use them. This is definitely a violation of usability but even majorly popular websites employ this method. It's pretty much common sense that these buttons belong at the end of the content. To cover all of your bases, they should be put in both spots. When you do this you should use smaller social icons so they don't overwhelm the content. To increase the emphasis for sharing, why not write a small note that asks people to share the content they like?

Links on your pages and in-line with text is necessary to keep your readers engaged, etc. Yes, internal linking has been with us for a while, and it's alive and well and necessary. Your goal is to help your readers, and that's why you should provide them with any good links to other content. You don't want to overdo it with in-text links, but it's good to do on most of your posts. The one thing you need to keep in mind is relevancy - so only link to articles that are relevant, but your use of anchor text should make that a non-issue. Failing to use this approach with relevant content will confuse readers and cause them to leave.

Everybody knows that content must be easy to understand and to skim. There are some tools, however, that help people slow down and bolding text is one of them. At the same time using it too much will just annoy your readers. Bold only what you think is the most important because that will be something in which people find lots of meaning. Avoid using it in every paragraph, and lists are a good place to experiment.

If you are not even sure if your content pages are up to par, or even better, then that's the first task you need to do. If you are online these days there is no reason not to know this stuff. At the same time making progress for yourself doesn't have to be that hard.
